Windows Vista – Adding the Run Command to the Start Menu
For some unknown reason when Microsoft created vista they removed the run command from the start menu, that’s ok because there is an easy fix, here’s how.
First right click on an open area of the taskbar and select properties.
Click on images for larger view
Then select the start menu tab.

Click the circle next to the
start menu and choose customize.

Then scroll down till you see
run command and click the box to enable it. Now click ok at this screen
and make sure you click apply on the next screen to save your changes.
That’s all there is to it, now click your start button and you should
see the run command at the bottom of the start menu.
